Fen Cowboys Featured in Farming and Country’s September Edition

We’re beyond excited to share that Fen Cowboys has been featured in the September edition of Farming and Country – one of the UK’s leading publications celebrating rural life, farming, and countryside culture.
The feature highlights our journey so far, from launch to carving out our place in the British country fashion market. Seeing our name and story in print alongside other champions of rural living is a huge milestone for us.
A Bold New Voice in Country Clothing
Farming and Country captured exactly what Fen Cowboys is about – unapologetic style rooted in the countryside. We launched earlier this year with a simple mission: to create clothing that works hard, feels authentic, and brings personality to the everyday lives of those living and working in the countryside.
Our ethos? Mud, mischief, and a whole lot of personality.
Inspired by the wide, wild Fen landscapes and grounded in rural tradition, Fen Cowboys delivers practicality without compromising on attitude. Farming and Country described it best: “raw and untamed, with a Normal for Norfolk pinch of charm.”
Born From The Fens, Built For Country Life
Founder Gemma Bonnett – Norfolk-born and now based in Cambridgeshire – has farming in her DNA. From breeding pedigree Ryeland sheep to working in the mud late at night during lambing season, Gemma knows the reality of rural life.
Her frustration with existing country wear – often lacking in personality or with an unreachable price tag – sparked the creation of Fen Cowboys. Every product in our debut range was tested by local farmers, family, and friends in real-life conditions: lambing, dog walking, field work, and pub trips. The verdict? Durable, practical, and made to last.
Celebrating The Fens
Beyond clothing, Fen Cowboys also carries a mission to raise awareness of The Fens, a unique region that too often goes under the radar. By weaving its colours, landscapes, and spirit into our designs, we’re putting this wild corner of Britain on the map – with style.
What’s Next?
Being featured in Farming and Country feels like a big step forward, but it’s just the beginning. We’re currently gearing up for the launch of our Autumn/Winter 25/26 collection, as well as expanding into official stockists alongside our online store. Trade show appearances are also in the pipeline as we grow our national presence.
We’re so proud to have our story shared with Farming and Country’s readers and can’t wait to welcome more people into the Fen Cowboys community.
